Alpha-Beta/Night-Morning Shift II Empty
PostSubject: Alpha-Beta/Night-Morning Shift II   Alpha-Beta/Night-Morning Shift II EmptyThu Aug 07, 2008 4:05 pm

7:25 AM - Alpha-Beta/Night-Morning Shift of ISS Spiker SSV-65647
Commanding Officer Captain Spiketer in command

As Spiketer resumed his seat at the captain's chair, he turned to his provisional Ops officer, Lieutenant (provisional) Stike, and said, "Stike, damage report."

Stike consulted his various panels at his workstation, and responded, "Hull integrity failures on Decks 34-45, contained at the moment, and on Decks 56-60, un-contained. Port and ventral shield generators offline, aft generator failing. Dorsal sensor array offline."

Spiketer shook his head, and consulted his own control panel, noticing an incoming transmission. Waving at Stike, he shouted, "Stike, play the incoming transmission."

Stike promptly opened the transmission, which was only audio. The message was as following:

"Warning! You are entering Neutral Territory, Sector 23 Beta. DANGER! Sector is known to project mirages."

Just then, an alarm began to wail. The computer announced, "Warning. Warp Core microfracture. Breach imminent." Looking at the ceiling, the captain growled.

"Helm, display general heading of craft on viewscreen." The helm officer acknowledged, and on screen and ahead, miraculously, was a shipyard!

Spiketer stared in amazement. "Look, a shipyard! Helm, set course!" Very Happy

Spikelya, next to him, said, "Good! We can repair the ship!" Very Happy

Then, the shipyard promptly shimmered away. Very Happy

"Bother! It was a mirage!" exclaimed the captain. Very Happy

"Never mind, there's an orbital construction yard over there," said the helm officer. "We can stop for a repair." Very Happy

The orbital construction yard then disappeared. Very Happy

"Another mirage!" Very Happy

The helm officer turned the ship hard-a-port, and an asteroid came into view. Very Happy

"Oh? Another mirage?" asked Spikelya. Very Happy

"Well, I'm not gonna be fooled this time," said the helm officer.

The ship promptly smashed into a solid asteroid. Very Happy

"Ohhh...." said the captain sarcastically, alarms beeping the background. Very Happy
